BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and BA (Hons) in Communication students are representing Malaysia at the 13th HYLI

14 April, 2015 - BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and BA (Hons) in Communication
students are representing Malaysia at the 13th HYLI
We are proud to announce that two of our students, Thilageswaran A/L Vijayan (BSc (Hons) in Computer Science) and Dzafran Adris bin Azmir (BA (Hons) in Communication) have been selected to represent Malaysia at the 13th Hitachi Young Leaders Initiative (HYLI) which will be held in Manila, Philippines from 27 July to 30 July 2015! Congratulations!
The HYLI is a community relations program that aims to identify and nurture potential Asian leaders by bringing them together to discuss regional issues and foster relationships with influential government officials, prominent business leaders, academics and NGO representatives. The initiative offers student participants a unique platform to broaden their outlook on regional and global issues while promoting Asian values and cross-cultural understanding.
The THEME of the 13th HYLI is ASEAN Perspectives on the Social and Environmental Challenges of Designing and Implementing Public Transportation Systems. The best and brightest students from the seven HYLI participating countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan), will come together in Philippines for an exclusive audience with prominent Asian leaders and experts. Students will get to learn from their experience and challenges in delivering safe, efficient and affordable public transportation systems. Packed with workshops and fieldwork, this 4-day program will culminate in the students’ public presentation centered on the 13th HYLI theme.
